At Pip Studio, we believe it is important to be open and honest with you about what is going on behind the scenes, especially when it affects our collections and prices. That is why we would like to inform you about new European legislation concerning porcelain.

This anti-dumping duty has been in place for several years and is intended to protect European production of porcelain, ceramics and pottery and keep it competitive with other countries, including China.

The European Commission recently decided to increase the anti-dumping duty on porcelain items from China from 17,9% to 79% as of 6 February. Unfortunately, this means we are forced to adjust our sales prices as of 1 March 2026. Despite our unique design and production process, our items are also subject to this anti-dumping duty.

This decision was not an easy one, as we want to keep our Pip Studio products accessible to everyone, but due to the substantial increase imposed by Brussels, we are unfortunately forced to raise our prices. In addition, we often use gold foil in our tableware, which is what makes our items so unique. The continuing rise in gold prices also has a direct negative impact on our cost price.

Until 28 February, you can still purchase our porcelain at the current prices, so now is the time to complete your tableware collection or get that one favourite item.
